Joe Montana’s son will play QB for Washington

Nick Montana, the son of of possibly the best quarterback to ever live Joe Montana, has verbally committed to play QB for the University of Washington.
“Washington’s very fortunate to get him, and also his family, they are a very nice family,” Montana’s High School coach Bill Redell said. “It was his decision. I think he was very comfortable with Steve Sarkisian and I think Steve Sarkisian was the key in getting the kid to Washington, and the facilities and the Pac-10, all those things came into consideration.”
Montana chose the Huskies over Notre Dame, Alabama, Georgia, LSU, Arizona State and Ohio State, but if his last name wasn’t Montana would anyone care?
“He can run, he’s got tremendous feet, he’s got great timing on his passes,” Redell said. “He’s got great touch on the ball. He’s got great leadership ability. He’s the type of kid who can throw on the run, like his dad could.”
If Nick can be just half as good as his old man he will eventually be a first round NFL draft pick.
