Lady Vols lose to Ball State

Ball State stunned the Lady Vols on Sunday night in the opening round of the NCAA tournament 71-55.
“I thought we were tentative, maybe uptight,” Tennessee coach Pat Summitt said. “But you have to give credit where credit is due and that’s to the Ball State basketball team. They had a lot more toughness. They beat us to loose balls. They made shots.”
Even the Ball State players were stunned they were able to beat the Lady Vols by such a big margin.
“I would be lying to you if I told you I thought it would be a 16-point victory,” Ball State guard Kiley Jarrett said. “It hasn’t hit me yet. It is just unbelievable.”
Well folks, that’s why they play the games. Anything can happen.
