The Los Angeles Lakers beat the Orlando Magic 101-96 in overtime Sunday night to take a 2-0 lead in the NBA finals.

“We blew a lot of assignments tonight — a lot of assignments — and we still managed to get a win,” Bryant said immediately following the victory.

Bryant of course led his team with 29 points but Pau Gasol was the bigger factor scoring 24 points of his own and 10 rebounds.

“There is a sense of relief because they (Orlando) played very well,” Lakers coach Phil Jackson said. “There’s no doubt they had every opportunity or chance to win”

Game 3 will be on Wednesday night in Orlando’s Amway Arena.
