The Los Angeles Lakers won game 2 of the Western Conference semifinal series 111-98 over the Houston Rockets on Wednesday night.

Kobe Bryant scored 40 points while Pau Gasol added an additional 22 points including 14 rebounds.

“It was a good physical game. The intensity is elevated because a lot is at stake,” Bryant said. “It’s good for us.”

Game 3 of the series will take place in Houston on Friday night.
