The Los Angeles Lakers beat the Spurs 100-92 on Thursday night ending the series and advancing them into the NBA Finals.
“I think it is a tremendous accomplishment,” Bryant said. “I think the West is extremely tough. We’re all extremely excited and proud about it. Now, it’s time to go on and see if we can’t finish it off.”
As expected Kobe Bryant was the real reason the Lakers won, he finished the night with 39 points but even though the Lakers are happy they made the finals, they know it doesn’t matter unless they win the championship.
“I like not to get involved personally in this and think of this as a team effort,” Lakers Coach Phil Jackson said. “As much as I appreciate the league trying to emphasize the Western Conference trophy, that doesn’t mean too much when that big prize is still out there.”
Looks like it will be Lakers vs. Celtics in the Finals and it will definitely be fun to watch.
