Lance Armstrong in 2nd at Tour de France

7-time Tour de France champion Lance Armstrong surged into 2nd place after his Astana team won the time trial on Tuesday.
“Boo-YA!!!” Armstrong tweeted. “Well, what can I say? The team was simply awesome today. Consistent, fluid, mistake-free. We love this event … and are stoked to win.”
Armstrong was just a fraction of a second fromtaking the yellow jersey away from the curent leader, Fabian Cancellara of Switzerland.
The 37-year-old Armstrong still believes he can win it all, but it’s going to be a lot harder than he anticipated.
“It’s not going to be easy — I’m not going to get last — but it won’t be like 2004, 2005, 2001,” he said. “It’s going to be a hell of a lot harder than I expected. That’s as honest as I can say it.”
We’re cheering for Armstrong to win it all!

I am surely cheering for him to win this year. Though he has been a bit of an ass about winning (like a typical man), he is finally opening his eyes and realizing that the field is much more competitive this time around. As it should be; this happens in every sport, why should cycling be any different?
