Lance Armstrong will let teammate Alberto Contador win the Tour de France

Lance Armstrong all but conceded the Tour de France to his teammate Alberto Contador after the Spaniard seized the yellow jersey and won the 15th stage on Sunday.
“As far as I’m concerned, I’m happy to be a domestique,” Armstrong said. “I’m proud of him.”
Cantador had nothing but great things to say about his former rival, and now teammate.
“Lance Armstrong was my idol, but dropping him today wasn’t important — he was just like any other rider. … It’s an honor for me to have him working for me,” Contador told reporters after the stage.
This is heartbreaking news for Armstrong fans. I can’t envision him taking a back seat to any other rider and hopefully he’ll have a change of heart.
Who cares if their teammates? The only reason Americans have any interest in the Tour de France is because of Lance Armstrong. He better do everything he can to win it all.

Lance DID do everything he could to win, and Contador still smoked him on the climb. I hated to see it happen, but Contador showed everyone that he deserves to win and Lance, although still amazing, can’t keep up anymore when it really counts.
