At yesterday’s press conference that served as a kick off for this weekend’s British Grand Prix Lewis Hamilton was challenged by his rival Jensen Button.

Jensen Button is an accomplished triathlete.

After Hamilton suggested Button might be getting a bit round in the belly area, Button issued a challenge to Hamilton – to compete in Triathlon in Bath and who ever loses has to give Ł10.000 to charity.

Hamilton accepted the challenge. For any of you unfamiliar with the concepts of triathlon, this particular one involves 1.5 km swim, 40km bicycle race and 10km run.

Not long after the press conference was over however Hamilton’s dad issued a statement “Lewis accepted the challenge like the good sport he is but we have decided to withdraw him from it.”

What did Button have to say? “Weak. Very weak. To be honest, I’m surprised, I thought he’d do it. Well, he’s a sportsman and I’m a sportsman.»

Come on Hamilton, you could have at least have the bollocks to get out of it yourself, rather then to issue a statement.
Honestly.
