Lions reach deal with Matthew Stafford

With the first pick in the 2009 NFL draft the Detroit Lions have selected Quarterback Matthew Stafford. The team reached a contract agreement with the Georgia QB on Friday night.
According to a source the deal is for a 6-year contract worth $72 million deal with $41.7 million guaranteed and it will make Stafford the richest rookie in NFL history.
I think Stafford has bust potential written all over him but the Lions had to take a quarterback; they really didn’t have any other choice.
