Louisville Ladies reach Final Four

The Louisville Cardinals ladies basketball team has reached the Final Four for the first time ever after beating Maryland on Monday night 77-60.
“They did a really good job of making us uncomfortable, throwing different looks at us,” Maryland guard Kristi Toliver said, explaining the loss. “They wanted to be physical from the beginning. We knew they were going to be that way, and we never really could get into rhythm.”
Louisville’s physical gameplan proved to be too much for the Maryland ladies to handle.
“We came out from the jump and we played hard,” Cardinals forward Deseree Byrd said. “We all have heart.”
