LSU wins College World Series

LSU destroyed the Texas Longhorns 11-4 on Wednesday night to win the College World Series for the first time since 2000.
“They are the best team we’ve played by far,” Texas coach Augie Garrido said. “We didn’t lose it. They won it. It was a well-deserved championship.”
Jared Mitchell set the tone for the night when he hit an impressive 3-run homer in the 1st inning. After the game he was named CWS Most Outstanding Player.
“It’s everybody pulling together, a sense of urgency we had, and we began to play our best ball at the end of the year,” Mitchell said.
Congratulations LSU!
