Manny Pacquiao annihilates Ricky Hatton
Pound-for-pound king Manny Pacquiao needed just 2 rounds to knockout the pride of Manchester, Ricky Hatton, on Saturday night.
“I’m surprised the fight was so easy,” Pacquiao said. “He was wide open for the right hook. I knew he would be looking for my left.”
Pacman knocked Hatton down twice in the first round and then landed the final knockout blow near the end of the second round. Hatton laid on the canvas for several minutes and was taken to the hospital immediately after the match for a precautionary brain scan.
“It was a hard loss but I’m OK,” Hatton said. “I really didn’t see the punch coming but it was a great shot. I know I’ll be OK.”
Pacquiao has destroyed everybody he has fought and hasn’t backed down from anybody. The only person he has yet to face is Floyd Mayweather Jr. and hopefully, if he can get passed Juan Manuel Marquez, we’ll see the Pretty Boy and Pacman face off in December. The winner of that fight would go down as one of the greatest fighters of all-time.
