Mayweather Easily Beats Marquez

During his highly anticipated return to the ring, Floyd Mayweather Jr. easily outpointed Juan Manuel Marquez to a unanimous decision on Saturday night.
“I’ve been off for two years, so I felt like it took me a couple of rounds to really know I was back in the ring again,” Mayweather said fter the bout. “I know I’ll get better.”
Mayweather says it took him a couple of rounds to shake off the ring rust, but that’s a total lie. He looked as polished as ever, especially in the second round when he knocked Marquez down.
“Marquez is tough as nails,” Mayweather said. “He’s a great little man. He was really hard to fight, and he kept taking some unbelievable shots.”
There was no controversy as far as the scoring goes. Judge Burt Clements gave every single round to Mayweather, 120-107. While Dave Moretti scored it 119-108 and William Lerch scored the bout 118-109.
As much as we hate Mayweather we have to admit he excuted his fight plan to perfection. We only hope he has enough balls to fight Manny Pacquiao early next year.
