The Miami Hurricanes bounced back from last week’s 31-7 loss to Virginia Tech by beating the #8 ranked Oklahoma Sooners, 21-20.

“Big, huge win for us,” Miami coach Randy Shannon said. “It’s huge.”

Of course we’d love to give Miami all the credit in the world for pulling off the upset, but we have to mention that Oklahoma was without their Heisman quarterback Sam Bradford.

Nonetheless, Oklahoma lost and they weren’t going to make any excuses.

“They made the plays down the stretch that made the difference,” Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops said. “We couldn’t come up with the plays to make it happen.”

Great win by Miami, but if the Sooners had Bradford at the helm the result would have been different.
