Michael Curry fired after just 1 season

The Detroit Pistons have fired coach Michael Curry after spending just 1 season with the team. The official decision came just hours before the start of free agency.
“This was a difficult decision to make,” Pistons president Joe Dumars said in a statement. “I want to thank Michael for his hard work and dedication to the organization. However, at this time, I have decided to make a change.”
With Curry calling the shots the Pistons went 39-43 in what was a disappointing 2009 season for the team.
“Are there things I could’ve done differently?” Curry said. “Yes. There were mistakes, but mistakes are correctible. That’s how you grow.”
The Pistons should have gave Curry at least 1 more year. I doubt they’ll find anyone better at this point.
