Does that weed smoker look familiar? That’s Olympic champion Michael Phelps hitting the bong shortly after the Beijing Olympics.

Phelps has admitted the picture is real and he’s trid to apologize.

“I engaged in behavior which was regrettable and demonstrated bad judgment,” Phelps said in a statement issued Sunday. “I’m 23 years old, and despite the successes I have had in the pool, I acted in a youthful and inappropriate way, not in a manner that people have come to expect from me. For this, I am sorry. I promise my fans and the public — it will not happen again.”

The Olympics have recently implemented a 4-year ban for drug use which leaves Phelps’ swimming future in question.

I’m sure the parents of all the kids that view Phelps as their role model are real happy to see this picture all over the internet.

Congratulations Phelps, you’ve managed to screw up your entire career.
