Miguel Tejada charged with lying to Congress

Houston Astros star shortstop Miguel Tejada has been charged for lying to Congress about an ex-teammate’s steroid use.
“It just shows that when you do something illegal like this, that you pay a price,” Former Rep. Tom Davis, a Virginia Republican who chaired the committee said in an interview with The Associated Press.
If convicted on the misdemeanor charge Tejada potentially faces up to a year in jail and $1,000 fine but will likelly just receive probation.
Tejada is expected to plead guilty.
