Olympic qualifiers Misty May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh beat Elaine Youngs and Nicole Branagh 18-21, 21-17 and 21-14 to win the AVP Crocs Slam Chicago Open.
“I think we’re able to pull out these close games because of our experience. We know where each other is going to be and where we like the ball. We see the court well,” Walsh said. “We’re really in tune with each other. It’s not all about hitting hard — it’s about being smart.”
They have now won their 16th consecutive tournament win and their 90th straight match victory.
This just in, their pretty good.
