Rafael Nadal won his sixth Grand Slam tournament Sunday by beating Roger Federer 7-5, 3-6, 7-6 (3), 3-6, 6-2 in a match that lasted over 4 hours.

“Roger, sorry for today. I really know how you feel right now,” Nadal said after the match. “Remember, you’re a great champion, you’re one of the best in history.”

Federer was trying to win his record-tying 14th major but after a horrible 5th set he knew it wasn’t going to happen for him on Sunday.

“I didn’t think I served well and that was the key to the match,” Federer said. “I played a terrible fifth set.”

Nadal vs. Federer is always fun to watch; I can’t wait until they meet up again.
