NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell has suspended Buffalo Bills running back Marshawn Lynch for the first 3 games of the regular season for violating the NFL’s personal conduct policy.

“We have been informed by the league as to Commissioner Goodell’s decision regarding the suspension of Marshawn Lynch.” the Bills said in a statement. “We fully support the NFL Personal Conduct Policy and believe that Marshawn is committed to conducting himself responsibly. When he spoke to the media recently, he talked about making changes and better decisions and we feel that he is moving forward in a positive direction.”

He was convicted on a misdemeanor gun charge on February 11th.

Lynch will lose $112,000 of his $635,000 base salary for missing the games due to the suspension. He is expected to file an appeal.
