NFL Vows to Monitor Gang Signs
The National Football League will begin to crack down on players using gang signs during game in an attempt to avoid gang related activities.
“We were always suspicious that might be happening,” Mike Pereira, the NFL’s vice president of officiating said. “But the Paul Pierce thing is what brought it to light. When he was fined . . . that’s when we said we need to take a look at it and see if we need to be aware of it.”
Pierce was fined in April by the NBA for $25,000 after flashing a gang related gesture.
Gang related material is something to NFL should monitor but there are definitely more important things they need to be worried about — like steroids.
