Nuggets embarrass Hornets 121-63

The Denver Nuggets destoyed the New Orleans Hornets 121-63 on Monday night which will go down in NBA history as the most lopsided win in playoff history.
Carmelo Anthony led the Nuggets with 26 points, all of which came in the first 3 quarters.
“I wouldn’t have thought that we would win by 58 points,” Anthony said. “I never thought anyone could win by 58 points in the playoffs.”
Denver played great defense, allowing Hornets All-Star Chris Paul to only score 4 points and 6 assists.
“Their defense was fantastic tonight,” Hornets coach Byron Scott said. “It’s the worst we’ve played since I’ve been here. That’s the worst basketball game I’ve ever seen us play and it just came at the wrong time.”
The Nuggets take a 3-1 lead in the series and will likely finish the Hornets off when they meet again on Wednesday in Denver.
