Pacquiao forces De La Hoya to quit
The best pound for pound boxer in the world, Manny Pacquiao embarrassed boxing legend Oscar De La Hoya during their Saturday night mega fight. Pacquiao dominated De La Hoya the entire fight forcing the Golden Boy him to quit on his stool after round 8.
“We knew we had him after the first round,” Pacquiao’s trainer Freddie Roach said. “He had no legs, he was hesitant and he was shot.”
The humiliating loss will likely force Oscar De La Hoya to retire from the ring and focus all of his attention on Golden Boy Promotions.
“My heart still wants to fight, that’s for sure,” De La Hoya said. “But when your physical doesn’t respond, what can you do? I have to be smart and make sure I think about my future plans.”
Pacquiao is not only the best boxer of today, he’s possibly one of the best lightweights the sport has ever seen. He’s a pressure fighting with punching power in both fists and he’s a true joy to watch. If your a fight fan and you still haven’t seen this guy fight, you have no idea what you’re missing out on.
