The Big 12 Conference has suspended Texas Tech’s mens basketball coach Pat Knight for one game for complaining about the refs following their loss to Texas A&M.
“I wasn’t surprised because I broke a rule,” Knight said during a teleconference on Monday. “I know the rules, but sometimes you have to lay on a grenade to get your point across.”
During the 2nd half of Tech’s 79-73 loss to the Aggies, Knight received a technical for arguing with the refs then after the game Knight said he really didn’t care what the Big 12 thought about his actions.
Like father, like son.
