Tennessee Volunteers women’s basketball coach Pat Summitt won her 1000th game by beating Georgia Thursday night 73-43.
“I feel like I’ve been extremely blessed,” Pat Sumitt said while trying to hold back tears. “And I thank God for the many opportunities I’ve had to be your coach and work with these young ladies, and so I want to thank all of you. I want to thank every person who’s been a part of my staff. … They gave their absolute best.”
Summitt is not only the best women’s basketball coach ever, she’s one of the best coaches to ever live, regardless of sport.
Her players honored her during her post-game interview by dumping a gatorade bucket full of confetti all over her.
Congrats Coach Summitt!
