The Philadelphia Phillies have clinched their first World Series birth in 15 years after beating the Los Angeles Dodgers 5-1 to win the NLCS.
“This is for the city for Philadelphia,” Phillies manager Charlie Manuel said.
“We have one more step, one big step — then we’re going to make a grand parade.”
The Phillies will try to win their 2nd World Series title next Wednesday when they will face either the Tampa Bay Rays or the Boston Red Sox.
