Plaxico Burress will make a good prison bitch

On Thursday, former New York Giants Super Bowl hero Plaxico Burress accpeted a plea bargain and pleaded guilty to one count of attempted criminal possession of a weapon. He will begin serving a two-year prison sentence on September 22.

“After an agonizing period of discussion, Plaxico decided that he wanted to do this, to put this behind him as quickly as possible,” Burress’ lawyer Benjamin Brafman said.

Brafman is convinced the only reason Burress has to do prison time is because he’s a celebrity.

“If Plaxico Burress were not a high-profile individual, there never would be a case,” Brafman said. “If he were just John Q Public he could have walked out of the club and he never would have been arrested.”

We still haven’t figured out why Burress has to spend 2 years behind bars for accidentally shooting himself, when Donte’ Stallworth killed somebody while driving drunk. It makes little sense to us. But regardless, Burress should have known better than to carry an unlicensed, loaded gun into a nightclub.

I think Goodell has done a terrific job suspending players, and it has happened so much the last 2 years I think the young guys will start to take note, hopefully.

At least it will teach kids to not shoot themselves in the leg with an unregistered firearm accidentally, because you will serve 2-5 years in prison first offense.

What do you think?
