Plaxico Burress Has No Hard Feelings After Suspension
Wide receiver Plaxico Burress has rejoined the New York Giants after being suspended for Sunday’s 44-6 victory over the Seattle Seahawks. During a conference call with members of the media Burress was asked if he had any hard feelings towards the Giants or head coach Tom Coughlin.
“Why would there be any hard feelings? It was a decision that they chose to make, and I was fine with it,” he said. “They feel that they needed to do that, so I took it with a grain of salt and kept on moving.”
Burress tried to play it cool and acted like the suspension didn’t bother him at all.
“My emotions were that they suspended me,” said Burress. “That was the decision they chose to do. I’ll take it at that. I’m not going to lose any sleep over it. I got me some rest and was able to get away for a while and chill out and relax. Things like that happen. I’ll keep moving forward and get back to doing what I do: catching footballs, scoring touchdowns and get back to work.”
Hopefully the suspension has helped Plaxico get his act together. Afterall, the Giants proved they don’t need him to win football games.
Plaxico Burress needs the Giants way more than the Giants need him.
