Roger Federer Loses In US Open Finale

Unknown Juan Martin del Potro of Argentina upset Roger Federer on Monday to win the first major title of his career. Porto, a heavy underdog, defeated the #1 seeded Federer in five sets, 3-6, 7-6 (5), 4-6, 7-6 (4), 6-2.
“Can’t have them all,” Federer told the media immediately following the match.
Before the loss Federer had won 40 consecutive matches at Flushing Meadows, including 5 consecutive titles.
Federer is obviously past his prime and nowhere near as good as he used to be. In his prime, no way he loses to a nobody like Porto.
