Serena Williams will play in the Australian Open semifinals after she beat Russia’s Svetlana Kuznetsova 5-7, 7-5, 6-1 on Wednesday.

Serena lost the opening set but she was able to recover and win the next 2 sets.

“I was in a lot of trouble. I just relaxed,” Serena Williams said. “I just wanted to fight and at least play three sets.”

Serena was the only non-Russian to advance into the semifinals.

“Me against the Russians, I guess,” she said.

She’ll face Olympic gold medalist Elena Dementieva next. Dementieva upset Serena’s older sister Venus in the 2nd round of the tournament.
