In case it might have slipped your mind but Wimbledon starts today. And the women of the WTA are revealing their new looks for the most popular and prestigious of Grand Slams.

This might sadden Sharapova’s fans but she is debuting shorts for the first time ever.

Sharapova said ‘I’ve never worn shorts at a Grand Slam. I’m gonna be debuting that. Call it menswear, obviously… It’s kind of like a tuxedo look, very simple lines, classic.’

Hm I thought I read somewhere it is tradition for women to wear skirts at Wimbledon. Then again I might have been wrong. But there you have it – shorts it is. And at least they are short.
