Spain easily defeated Germany in men’s basketball 72-59 at the Olympics.

“They are a good team and they just made better offensive plays than us. We could have beaten them if we had played better,” said German center Christopher Kaman.

Jose Manuel Calderon had 15 points for Spain, Alex Mumbru had 14 and Pau Gasol scored 13.

Dirk Nowitzki had 11 points and five rebounds for Germany.
