Steelers give James Harrison a new contract

The Pittsburgh Steelers have rewarded last seasons Defensive Player of the Year with a new contract worth $51.175 million over the next 6 years.
“James is pleased he will be a Steeler for the rest of his NFL career, in all probability, which is what he wanted,” Harrison’s agent, Bill Parise sad. “The contract is reflective of him being the defensive player of the year.”
Although the entire amount is not guaranteed, t he contract is currently the largest signed by an NFL linebacker.
Harrison was undrafted coming out of Kent State University but now, at the age of 30, he is recognized around the leage as one of the best linebackers in the game today.
