Thanks to Wise, Mark Buehrle throws a perfect game
Thanks to an amazing leaping catch from substitute outfielder Dewayne Wise, Chicago White Sox pitcher Mark Buehrle threw a perfect game against the Tampa Bay Rays on Thursday.
“I don’t know how to explain it,” Buehrle said after the game. “I never thought I’d throw a no-hitter.”
The 5-0 victory over the Rays is just the 18th perfect game in baseball history.
“He has no fear,” White Sox captain Paul Konerko said. “That’s why he puts himself in position to do what he does.”
Congratulations Buehrle, but you better thank Wise for saving you’re ass.
