This could have been the best Super Bowl commercial ever
NBC banned this PETA Super Bowl ad from airing during Super Bowl XLIII because they felt it was too “sexual”. Dumb move by NBC, this commercial would have been the best Super Bowl ad ever.
Read the letter NBC sent to PETA explaining their reasoning behind the ban after the jump.
Here’s the letter in its entirety.
The PETA spot submitted to Advertising Standards depicts a level of sexuality exceeding
our standards. Listed below are the edits that need to be made. Before finalizing the
spot, we would like to view a Quicktime file as well as a DVD with high resolution.
