Here at PopCrunch we’ve always been huge fans of hating on popular athletes. These days there are so many stupid athletes we have a hard time keeping track of them all. That’s why we’ve decided to put together a list of our Top 10 Most Hated Athletes of 2009.

10: Terrell Owens

Why We Hate Him: He’s washed up and drops more balls than he catches these days, but he still won’t shut up! The only reason he’s not higher on our list is because he tried to kill himself a few years ago, so we’re guessing he hates himself just as much as we hate him.

9: Tiger Woods

Why We Hate Him: He makes golf relevant, and we hate him for that. When we turn on SportsCenter we want to see highlights from REAL sports, not golf.

8: Andy Roddick

Why We Hate Him: He’s America’s best male tennis player, but he’s internationally known as Roger Federer’s bitch. Roddick’s head-2-head record against Federer currently sits at an embarrassing 2-19. Andy, please retire.

7: Peyton Manning

Why We Hate Him: Is it even possible to turn on television without seeing his ugly face in every other commercial?

6: Alex Rodriguez

Why We Hate Him: Anybody who poses for pictures while making out with himself in a mirror will most definitely always make our Top 10 Most Hated lists.

5: Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Why We Hate Him: He talks a lot of shit and he thinks he’s better than Sugar Ray Robinson, but in reality he’d get his ass kicked by a prime Hector Camacho.

4: Brady Quinn

Why We Hate Him: He’s a closet homosexual. Not only does he break the top 5 on this list, but if we were to make a list of top 10 athletes most likely to come out of the closet, Quinn would be #1.

3: Stephon Marbury

Why We Hate Him: We hate him for many of the same reasons we hate Brady Quinn. We believe him and Quinn could have a nice life together if they ever hooked up.

2: Michael Vick

Why We Hate Him: We hate him for the same reasons everybody else hates him. After he spent 18 months in federal prison for dog fighting, we thought we wouldn’t still hate him with such a strong passion. Well, we were wrong because we still hate him just as much as before (maybe more).

1: Gina Carano

Why We Hate Her: She refuses to pose for Playboy. We’ve been following Gina Carano since before she was famous. We’re the ones that reported her sexual preference and we were there when she teased us by getting naked in order to make weight for her fight against Kelly Kobold. And of course we were there in August when she got her hot ass beat by Cris “Cyborg” Santos. Ms. Carano just doesn’t seem to get it. We haven’t followed her so closely because she’s a good fighter. The only reason we have wasted countless hours stalking her each and every move is because she’s hot. It’s time for her to repay her fans by shedding some clothes and taking some naked pictures.
