Trent Green finally decides to retire

After 15-years in the NFL, veteran quarterback Trent Green has decided to retire and focus on a career in broadcasting.
“I feel this is finally the right time,” Green told FoxSpots.com. “I’ve talked about it with [the family] for a while, especially with the concussions over the last few years. We all felt it was the time to do it.”
Green spent 2001 through 2005 as the starting QB for the Kansas City Chiefs but he’ll most likely be remembered for getting injured in a 1999 preseason game with the St. Louis Rams; opening the door for Kurt Warner to become an NFL legend.
We’re glad Green finally decided to call it quits. He was just one more concussion away from suffering serious brain injury and he hasn’t been a good quarterback since 2006 when he suffered a frightening concussion during the season opener with the Chiefs.
