The Virginia Tech Hokies proved they are a real contender in the race for a National Championship after they dominated the 9th ranked Miami Hurricanes, 31-7.
“We felt like we were being a little disrespected,” Virginia Tech linebacker Cody Grimm said following the upset. “We were defending ACC champs and no one was talking about us having a chance in this game.”

“gurus” thought Miami was going to walk all over the Hokies – instead it was the other way around. Despite popular belief, Miami isn’t back to dominance.
The Hokies have a really easy schedule for the rest of the season and if they keep winning they’ll find themselves ranked in the top 5 before no time.
Against Miami they definitely looked like the real deal.
