One team that is sadly missing from the Euro 2008 is the England squad. Females miss it because of the prospect of David Beckham shirtless. Males (and the papparazzis) miss their wives and girlfriends.

And while some England players are just hanging out at the Bahamas with their topless significant others, others are getting hitched.

Wayne Rooney and his soon to be wife Coleen McLoughlin are getting married in Portofino, Italy this weekend.
Even though OK magazine has coughed up Ł2.5 million for the exclusive snaps, it is rumored Rooney and his missus are coughing up additional Ł2.5 million to cover all the cost (that would be 10$ million).

What does 10$ million get you these days? A ł40 million yacht for 3 days for the wedding reception; a castle for the ceremony and 5 private jets that will take their guests to the wedding. Not to mention Rooney’s stag party in Ibiza that lasted 4 days at the cost of whopping Ł250.000 (that’s half a million dollars in case you are wondering).

And they say world economy is going through a slump.

The locals on the other hand are more worried about the drunken and disorderly antics that can be expected of the English revelers, posh as they might be.
