One would think when you earn millions year in and year out, you are set for life.

And history has shown that not many athletes are very financially savvy. Good few have gone bankrupt over the years.

Another one that might not be so financially savvy is Wayne Rooney. It emerged that Rooney’s spending of 5 million pounds last year left him in the red of 1.1 million pounds.
Heavens thats a lot of money.

But the newly weds will not be poor as church mouses any time soon.

Rooney has plenty of endorsements and that is without Ł130.000 per week he is getting from his club. Not to mention Coleen is not so bad off herself (there are telly shows, book deals and her own endorsements to consider).

One would think with all that money they would be able to hire a good accountant to keep him out of red.
